Rule: To find the place of Fortuna in a horoscope, add the longitudes of Ascendant to the Moon’s longitude from which sum subtract the longitude of the Sun, and the remainder will be the place of Fortuna.
Fortuna Point Calculation: Ascendant or (Lagna Degree + Moon Degree) – Sun Degree = Fortuna Point degrees
Note: If Lagna +Moon degrees are less than Sun degrees then you have to add 360 degrees with the (Lagna+Moon total degrees).
Example: Lagna Degree 120.24+ Moon Degree 27.6 = 147.84 And Sun Degree 329.16
It means Lagna and Moon Degrees score is less than the Sun Degree score.
Now you need to add 360 degree score with Lagna and Moon’s total degree score.
Lagna and Moon Degrees 147.84 + 360 = 507.84 – (Sun Degree) 329.16 = 178.68
The angle 178.68° corresponds to the sign of Virgo the 6th house. So, you need to check the 6th house status is there any malefic or benefic planets occupied or their aspectation. According to their status, you will get the results.
So now we explain in concise form the effects of Fortuna in the twelve houses:
First House. The position in the Ascendant or first house indicates gain and happiness by the native’s own efforts.
